Splatter News App
This project was to create a news app associated with our particular interests — The splash screen when you boot up the app, the logo being the first thing the viewer sees as the blood drips down the screen.
I created a news app centered around horror media of all kinds. Movies, TV shows, games, etc — The user can choose different horror icons as their avatar.
I created the mockup of this app in Figma — The first screen shows the different subgenres of horror the user can filter. The second screen shows what type of media the user wants to hear news about on the app.
The first screen shows the main page of the app, with the most popular/related articles showing first. The second screen shows the layout of one of the articles.
Here are two style guides for the app. This style guide is show the kinds of typefaces I used and at what weights, sizes, and leading. And the color palette of the app and what their CMYK code is.
And this style guide shows the grid system of the app showing an actual phone as reference. And then all the components or icons/buttons that were used in the app.
